It doesn’t end here

The Malvern Festival is over. ‘The Rain Garden’ squeezed into two 26 ton Lorries and a Gold medal in the bag (I still can’t quite believe it) I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone involved in lending me their enthusiasm and time in getting the garden to what it is (was). Lot’s of long hours and muddy clothes.. It’s not lost on me how lucky I’ve been to have such Wonderful and passionate people as part of my team. The Gold medal is shared with you all..

That said, the show isn’t over yet.. We still have the matter of what to do with the garden post festival. I have decided to donate it to the CopperMill school, a small primary school in my home town of Walthamstow.

The school like many doesn’t have much money to spend on the luxury of a new garden but does suffer from flooding and lack of shade so it felt like the perfect home for ‘The Rain Garden’ and it’s message, plus it’s 5 minutes from my house so I can keep an eye on it and hopefully watch it mature into an inspirational and educational space for future generations. It’s so exciting to know that the garden will have a forever home thanks to the generosity of our amazing Sponsor FloodRe.
